This past week we welcomed over 70 new pigs to Fink Farm. You've already seen two of our foundation females in an earlier post, and here are three more outstanding mommas.
First is a purebred York gilt, a Mammoth daughter, who has a productive future ahead of her. She had her first litter Friday, sired by Final Drive owned by Tom Moyer + Family.
The next two females have already proven their value as brood sows. The solid black 8 Ball daughter has thrown a lot of color in this year's litter, sired by Big Stick. Definitely will turn some heads at our sale and as they continue on the show circuit.
This Perfect Remedy sow had a Vindicated litter, guaranteeing a stout set of show pig prospects, with an extra splash of chrome.
"Harmony", our purebred Hamp gilt, was the Reserve Champion Hamp at the 2012 Extravaganza and the Grand Champion Hamp at the 2012 Kansas State Fair. She is bred to Pivot Point, housed at Top Cut Genetics, Inc., due to farrow this Tuesday. We are really excited about this litter!
This Major Impact daughter is one of our foundation females, and is bred to Colossal, also at Top Cut. We think this litter, due this week, will be extremely powerful.
Litters start arriving on Tuesday. We're super excited about the match-ups this year, including the addition of purebred Berk and Hamp market and breeding prospects. A complete list of boars we're using this year is on our website.
